Meet Autumn, Our Automated Support Assistant
What Autumn Does, What She Can Never Do, and How to Reach Kenny Anytime
Autumn is Sagentic Web Design's automated support assistant. She helps with the website requests our clients make most often, like adding a team member or updating an FAQ, and she answers questions about your website. She is there when the developers are busy with other projects, out of the office, or it is after hours.
Autumn is an AI, not a person. She will always tell you so, and every email she sends says so at the bottom. Her name is a small nod to the word automated and the namesake of our company.
What Autumn Helps With
Autumn handles everyday requests that follow a clear pattern. Depending on your website, that can include:
- Team members.
Adding a new staff member, updating a bio or photo, or taking someone off the website. - FAQs.
Adding a new question and answer, or updating an old one. - Questions about your website.
What it says, where something is, or how to find it. - Other common updates
We set up for your business over time.
Anything bigger or more unusual goes straight to Kenny.
How You Reach Autumn
You reach Autumn through the Client Portal on your own website. Instead of a blank message box, you pick a short form for what you need, like "Add a team member." The form asks for everything up front, so you never have to wonder what to include.
Autumn usually finishes within a few minutes. She emails you when she is done, with a link to the page she changed. If she needs something from you, she asks one clear question.
Why Autumn Is Safe
Autumn does not get a master key to your website. For each request, our system gives her a pass that works like a hotel key card:
- It opens one building.
It works on your website only. It cannot open anyone else's. - It opens only certain doors.
It reaches only the parts of your website we have set up for that kind of request. A request to add a team member cannot touch your homepage. - It stops working on its own.
Each pass expires after 30 minutes.
These limits are built into our system, not just written in Autumn's instructions. Even if someone tried to talk her into something else, the system would refuse.
A few more safeguards:
- She never deletes anything.
When something comes off your website, it is hidden, not erased, so it can come back. - Every change can be undone.
We keep a record of what each page looked like before Autumn changed it. - Bigger changes wait for Kenny.
Things like homepage changes or new services go to Kenny for approval before anything is published. - She does not make things up.
Autumn uses only what you give her and what is already on your website. If something is missing, she asks you instead of guessing.
What Autumn Will Never Do
Autumn also has no access to your email accounts, your billing, your domain name or your hosting. She works only on the content of your website.
Kenny Is Always in the Loop
Kenny is copied on every email Autumn sends you, so he sees everything she does. When a request is outside what Autumn is allowed to do, or something does not look right, she stops and hands it to Kenny with a note about what happened.
You Can Always Talk to a Person
Autumn is there to help, not to stand between you and us. Whenever you would rather work with a person:
- Tell Autumn you would like to talk to one of our support techs. She will hand your request to us right away.
- Email us directly at support@sagentic.com.
- Call the office at (719) 881-0098.
What Happens to Your Information
Autumn is built on Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, which we use through its paid business service. The information in your request is used to complete your request. Under Anthropic's business terms, it is not used to train their AI.
We keep a record of every request, every message and every change on our own servers. That is how Kenny reviews Autumn's work, and how any change can be undone.
